OMFG, is it already the last day of the year? Dang.
I heartily apologize for not updating this thing in over a month...waaaaaayyyyyyy too busy. Or rather, too lazy, uninspired.
The holiday season has been killing me. At my job, that is.
I've never experienced so much pressure in any one time...and I thought final exams were a bitch. Long story short though, the past three weeks have worn me out. I've been feeling a bit like--as Joe puts it--a gloomy gus.
Anyway, tomorrow will be the start of a new year. Good riddance, 2003. Time to make anew with some resolutions...here are my primary three:
1) Get back into shape (for the sake of my health)
2) Try much harder to find a really good art job
3) Regularly update my website (this'll depend on if I can get a much better computer to work on)
On a funnier note, Joe has told me about Alton Brown's blog. (You know, Alton Brown of "Good Eats" fame on the Food Network?) Seems this hilarious guy has a website (http://www.altonbrown.com) complete with blog and tons of merchandise. Anyway, his views on mad cow disease were very interesting; he points out that it's our fault for this foolishness, just so we can get beef cheap.
It's kinda put me off beef now...the affordable kind anyway. Definitely organic beef for me. And perhaps it's worth it after all to pay an arm and a leg to eat something of the best quality. Huh. I guess in this case quality is definitely more important than quantity.
In a way I blame society. If the finer things in life weren't made so darn expensive, then we wouldn't be fussing over finding things that we can afford as a substitute. Why did they decide that there has to be value on things? I just don't get it at all. No one would be forced to struggle, wear themselves out if value didn't exist. We'd all be living in peace.
Aw hell, I'm getting ahead of myself here.
So as I conclude the final entry of this year, I just want to say I'm finally glad that it's over and done with. Finito! Now I'm going to bed, so that I can wake up early and continue playing FFX-2. The story is getting hella good! :-)
